Hackers broke into the Web site of the Epilepsy Foundation and flooded the site with rapidly flashing images aimed at causing seizures to the site’s readers, reported MSNBC yesterday.
The attack caused “severe migraines and near-seizure reactions in some site visitors who viewed the images,” according to the article.
Hackers filled the site’s forum with links offering help, but instead directed them to a site which “exploded with kaleidoscopic images pulsating with different colors.”
There’s a name for such trickery.
