In response to the racist Obama T-shirt sold by a bar in Georgia, new shirts have been introduced for both the Hillary and McCain campaigns:

Georgia bar selling racist Obama t-shirts

Racist Obama T-Shirt

Mulligan’s Bar and Tavern in Marietta, Georgia, is selling the above t-shirt to its patrons. What’s worse, Mike Norman, the bar’s owner, thinks there’s nothing wrong with portraying an African American as a monkey.

“We’re not living in the (19)40s,” he told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “Look at him . . . the hairline, the ears — he looks just like Curious George.”

99.7 The Blitz!!! is now The Rock

The RockThe Blitz, a radio station in Columbus which played new rock music, changed its name April 4 and now calls itself The Rock.

The station seems to focus on more established artists, like AC/DC and Nirvana, than new acts like Coheed and Cambria. Calling Coheed and Cambria “new” is a stretch to begin with, they’ve already released their second album following their first success.

With the rising popularity of satellite radio and convenience of iPods, I’m not sure anyone in Columbus has noticed.

Flight of the Conchords landing in Columbus

Flight of the Conchords

Flight of the Conchords are going to “Boom” at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus Friday night and I scored tickets.

I’m shocked that they’re coming to Columbus and that they’d play as big as a venue as the Schott — there still seemed to be plenty of tickets when I ordered them Friday night.

Regardless, Friday night is “Business Time” and I’ll be there with “The Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room).”

Hackers cover epilepsy site with flashing images

Hackers broke into the Web site of the Epilepsy Foundation and flooded the site with rapidly flashing images aimed at causing seizures to the site’s readers, reported MSNBC yesterday.

The attack caused “severe migraines and near-seizure reactions in some site visitors who viewed the images,” according to the article.

Hackers filled the site’s forum with links offering help, but instead directed them to a site which “exploded with kaleidoscopic images pulsating with different colors.”

There’s a name for such trickery.
